I was never a fan of sugar cookies. They were too dry and sweet with very little flavor. Then I found this recipe from Mel’s Kitchen. It includes sour cream to make them fluffy and moist with a bit of tang. I don’t frost them I add M&Ms instead. This scent is the nostalgic smell of sweet sugar and vanilla baked to perfection.
